The unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide an advanced first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

Students completing this course will gain the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants and children in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
This unit applies to a range of workers within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency

Students completing this course will gain the skills and knowledge required to rescue from live low voltage (LV) panels and (CPR) in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions.
The course is targeted at electricity supply industry (ESI) workers who undertake the installation and/or maintenance of network infrastructure which requires performing rescues from live LV panels and CPR to meet work health and safety (WHS) and (OHS) mobility mutual aid requirements.
It is required you have completed a Provide First Aid course in the past 12 months

This course is appropriate for people who work in high risk areas, act as first aiders to larger facilities or groups, or work in areas where help may be delayed or have difficulty accessing casualties. The course covers a broad range of advanced skills and provides you with high level skills in management of large incidents, major trauma, sudden cardiac arrest and emotionally disturbed and drug affected casualties. specialised equipment

This course develops advanced skills for providing life support and focuses on the use of oxygen delivery systems and in-depth knowledge and skill in the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED). This course also covers the skills and knowledge required to use specialised equipment in the provision of resuscitation and oxygen therapy in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. This course requires you have a current Provide First Aid HLTAID011
Students completing this course will be able to identify and provide a first aid response to anaphylaxis, develop strategies to prevent exposure to known allergens and minimize risks related to anaphylaxis.
In addition, this course will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to be able to develop an asthma management strategy and provide asthma-related first aid interventions in the workplace.
Students completing this course will gain the skills and knowledge required to recognise potentially hazardous manual tasks, and then to prepare for and complete those tasks in a safe manner.
Upon completion of this course, the following unit(s) will be issued by ABC Licence Training Pty LTD – RTO 3399
HLTWHS005 – Conduct manual tasks safely
